Hypnosis is a state, guided by the therapist, of focussed attention and concentration, where the individual can turn their attention inward and utilise their own deep, natural resources to help them make changes or regain control in certain areas of their life.
It is a pleasurable experience where deep, transformational work can be done, where wounds of the past can begin to heal and the journey of life can be viewed from perhaps a different perspective. It is an opportunity to focus inward and look at patterns of behaviour that might be causing distress or difficulty in every-day life, a chance to gain a deeper understanding of who you are as an individual and how to ‘tap into’ the deep resources you possess to make the best of your life.
Clinical Hypnotherapy can help with unhelpful fears, phobias and habits, anxiety and stress, confidence-building at work and recreational activities, sleep problems, exam nerves, pain management, feelings of despondency and low mood, decision-making and even exploring past lives as the possible cause for problems in this life. I am always happy to discuss your individual needs prior to making a first appointment so we can see if Hypnotherapy or some other form of therapy is appropriate for you.
